Project Idea

Project idea : ECO FOOD GLOBAL

Food is already a global environmental problem with increasing risks.

Their influence on the climate and environmental pollution is higher than expected and is not taken into account enough in everyday life: Approximately 19% of these emissions are pure CO2 emissions. The environmental impact with consideration of water, soil and surfaces increases to a 1/3. Thus the environmental impact by the nutrition occupies place one, still before the factors like living (approx. 19%) and mobility (approx. 12%) or clothing (approx. 3%). Details see above.

The calculation includes all steps from production and transport to the sale of the products - from the field to the consumer's table.

That is why changes in our lifestyle are sensible and necessary today.

For example, the highest savings potential in terms of overall impacts could be achieved through an environmentally and health-conscious diet, such as less meat, expensive luxury foods or more local and/or organic products.

We would like to use this new project idea to illustrate the risks and opportunities in the areas of nutrition, the environment and health using practical examples. In addition, there is a high global solution potential, which should be implemented urgently.

The idea has already been implemented in Norway and Sweden in particular. It was born about ten years ago.

less CO2 emissions ! - already for nearly 10 years - see more info under: http://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/unternehmen/lebensmittel-kennzeichnung-futtern-fuer-das-klima-a-659296.html

This successfully implemented example "MAX", which uses less meat for hamburgers, more vegetables etc., shows how CO2e emissions can be significantly reduced and health significantly improved at the same time.

In addition, their additional goal is to offer their products 100% climate-neutral.

They help to reforest trees in Africa and thus create new water reservoirs. They will soon be able to produce more food in this area. They also support wind power plants in Scandinavia. These can work very soon, have a compensating effect on the climate change, are however clearly more expensive.

The first very positive project step has now been taken in Switzerland: Eaternity.org

see more at: http://www.eaternity.org/foodprint/

They show how we can significantly reduce CO2e emissions and other environmental impacts when eating and drinking, e.g. meat, cheese, beer or wine, with equally fine, attractive and healthy food and drink.

Unfortunately, the CO2e compensation implemented by "MAX" is still missing in Switzerland.

The food already presented and proposed by "MAX" and "eaternity" is not only healthy and environmentally friendly, it is also usually somewhat cheaper.  See information and supplements.

"Eaternity" motivates us to eat healthier, environmentally and climate-friendlier food as well - and usually even cheaper!

With this we could also help to find global solutions such as "MAX - or to set up "Ecofoodglobal" !

The goal of "Ecofoodglobal" shows the already successful goals of "eaternity" and "MAX". This new project goes one step further and clearly shows that there is also a high reduction potential and often underestimated savings potential. We would also like to tackle the waste problem, especially the high quantities of biological waste and plastic, which are not taken into account enough.

In this project idea, we would like to show how the following objectives can be achieved in developing countries with surprisingly little financial resources. Existing experience shows that in addition to the desired environmental goals, a high social potential can also be achieved, especially among children and young people.

In the following we show you three project partnerships which have been established in the meantime and with whose organisations good contacts already exist. These projects are implemented directly or indirectly in the areas of nutrition, health, environment, CO2e, water, soil and organic farming.
